Truth or Lie
I was just being modest
As I curiously played the game
But when I was honest
I recognized my shame
Curiosity killed the cat
And what did that get me
Something dead on my mat
After walking home rather happily
Now, do I pick and choose
Who will win my clever game
Am I another muse
Or do I just know your name
I buried that damn cat
In the back yard of my mind
As soon as it's decay tortured me, I decided to come back
But when I look at it again, It's just you that I find
So when I lost my own game
Of daily truth or lie
I hung my head low, and it was myself to blame
The reason that I love you, the reason I tried
As I curiously played the game
But when I was honest
I recognized my shame
Curiosity killed the cat
And what did that get me
Something dead on my mat
After walking home rather happily
Now, do I pick and choose
Who will win my clever game
Am I another muse
Or do I just know your name
I buried that damn cat
In the back yard of my mind
As soon as it's decay tortured me, I decided to come back
But when I look at it again, It's just you that I find
So when I lost my own game
Of daily truth or lie
I hung my head low, and it was myself to blame
The reason that I love you, the reason I tried
