Family
I've bitten my tongue, and hidden my fears.
I've been under your thumb for too many years.
You don't let me breathe, you don't let me decide.
You think you own me, and it's time to cry.
How could you know, that I'd disappear,
How could you know, I wouldn't be here.
I'd rather be alone in the world, than have you dictate.
Id like to be able to decide my destiny and fate.
Who are you to tell me that I'm doing wrong,
You ignore that I'm older now and believe me, I'm gone.
Family's meant to mean something,
Family's meant to care
Bet you thought I'd always be there.
Bet you thought I'd let you kick me around.
I walk out of the house, and freedom's the sound.
