Lost in a known place

I'm walking down the street,
And instantly, recognise her face.
It's not the first time,
But is always in a dark place.
Coming out of no where,
She's now in my personal space.
Demanding all my attention.
With pain all over her face.
Turning back is a no go,
And there's no sense in trying to run.
I have to face her again,
Knowing it won't be fun.

"I can't do this right now,
I beg you come back another day" .
But there was to be no escape,
This lady will always have her say.

" You're just a waste of air, I'm glad we meet again " there's no lasting peace for you, In this life of pain! "

"We've been here before, and it's always the same thing",
"you've nothing good to say, and offer nothing but suffering".
"I knew out paths would cross, it's written in the stars"
You just can't help yourself, and like adding to the scars".
 
"There is no escape and hiding is a fools game ",
You will face me, and life will never be the same! ".

Coldness in her eyes,
With a threatening tone, she unleashed her fury, rocking me to my bone.

"Enough, I screamed out, can't you see I'm beat?,
I'm here facing you, again on another dark street".
"you've had your say now please let me be.
I'm tired now and already feel like a different me".

"I will see you soon, I hope you suffer much",
I'll be in the shadows, keeping in touch"

So there I stood,
Lost in a known place.
Looking for home
Putting on my strong face.
Knowing the price we pay on the time that we borrow,
Knowing she finds us all, she's Life's, lady of sorrow!
