Restless
Seduced by lies you attract my mind in a never ending cycle of truths, that only I am forced to believe or not
It's a conversation with myth and fact, and I am only left with a compromise that will hardly get me anywhere but where I was before
When I decide what part of this argument that I want to let go, It'll only be time that I forgot
When I fall asleep I am either reminded of what I thought was made up, or what I think I made up to be true
In the end, I hide from the sleep that only time will give
And when the clock stops tick-tocking, I'll remember to fall a little less harder, next time when I remember the things I do
I'll let my dreams get me high
And when I find no use of their made-up reality
I'll hide them away until I feel a little less paranoid and gullible
And then when I'm running from them again, I'll read this poem before I fall in hopes that it will remind me that I shall soon be in trouble
When I choose to believe, I'll remember to take the key with me
But when I wake up restless, I'll know that the only lock is my eyes
And when I open them to view what put me here, I'll only wonder what I'll see today
And then I'll fall asleep to dream of this endless fight
