Should We Love What the Braggart Writes
If you wish for me
to spend my time in reading
any of the compositions you insist
are poetry
to see if they are "love worthy"
I need to know,
and certainly be shown,
that in the way they're shaped
and worded by your hand,
they're filled with rapturous imagery
and such linguistic grace
and charm
that’s truly powerful enough
to take my breath away
and when my breath’s regained
to make me nod agreeably
and primed enthusiastically to say
“oh this is something magical
and lyrically so grand.”
But these, I fear, are qualities
that don’t appear in things
that you indite.
To say that what you post
deserves the slightest moment’s read
would not in any way be right.

Nobody likes to read what a braggart writes, and there are some people who like to read my poetry while they don't like to read yours. What do you understand from this equation.

Re: Re. Should We Love What the Braggart Writes
Please back up your claim. Who, besides your family and your sycophants, are the people who like to read your "poetry"? Exactly how many of these people are there. More than ten? Are they native English speakers? Do they actually possess the critical ability and acumen that makes any positive assessment of your poetry worth considering?
And how do you know that there are people who don't like reading mine? Moreover, who are they? Name names or admit that you have no evidence for your claim. (Cue the excuses of why you won't do so).
In any case, the fact that people like your "poetry" does not mean that it is any good. Lots of people liked the horrible TV programs "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and "Duck Dynasty". Should we take that to mean that those programs were of stellar quality?
As H.L. Menken once observed, "No one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the great masses of the plain people"

"What do you understand from this equation [sic no question mark]"
What equation? The unevidenced claim that some people like to read your poetry but don't like to read mine is not something that involves the act of considering one thing to be the same as or equal to another. If it's anything, it's a comparison.

1-Name names OR give names?
2-This is what you look for, namely a forgotten question mark. What a judge!!!
3-The equation is in your title and in the first sentence of my previous answer. Who can really equal or be a braggart, you or l?
4-How can l take you seriously and you write so many lines to explain what an equation is, and you take your support from dictionaries.

"-Name names OR give names?"
And once again you show that you are not as familiar with English, let alone British English, as you have often bragged you are.
"name names
to tell someone the names of people involved in something"

"2-This is what you look for, namely a forgotten question mark. What a judge!!!
Did I say I was looking for something? All I was doing was showing that you didn't proofread your message and there was yet another reason to say that your claim to know how to write well is not as solid as you've bragged it is.
"3-The equation is in your title and in the first sentence of my previous answer. Who can really equal or be a braggart, you or l?"
Sorry, but to say "equal a braggart" without saying what one equals a braggart in is a solecism.
But, more to the point, where is there a hint of a claim that something is an equation in the title of my piece?
"4-How can l take you seriously and [SIC when?] you write so many lines to explain what an equation is, and you take your support from dictionaries.
What's wrong with writing "many" lines (let alone quoting relevant data from dictionaries) to show that something claimed has no basis in fact?
More importantly, If you say that it is wrong to take support of what a word means from dictionaries, then you are showing how much of a hypocrite e you are -- since taking support for the way YOU use words from dictionaries (especially Longmans) is something you do frequently.
In any case, how does what I quote from you in any way provide straight answers to my requests that you show that those who like your poetry should be regarded as serious and well-informed critics of poetry (let alone as proof that your poetry is written well) and that you tell me how you know that there are people who don't like the way I write?
(cue the non-answer to this question).

You are so clever as you use NAME NAMES, and you prove it is right. Don't you feel it is awkward to use it? Does it sound well to you?

Re: Re. Should We Love What the Braggart Writes
And just as I predicted, another non-responsive reply to my request to provide answers to the following questions:
"how does what I quote from you in any way provide straight answers to my requests that you show that those who like your poetry should be regarded as serious and well-informed critics of poetry (let alone as proof that your poetry is written well) and that you tell me how you know that there are people who don't like the way I write?"
Given this, there is good reason to suspect that with respect to the first question you are afraid to admit the truth and say, "it doesn't" and that with respect to the second "I can't since no one has actually told me he/she doesn't like the way I write, or if they have,
I have no reason to think that they have sufficient critical abilities to accept their evaluation of what you write as valid.

Such questions like yours shouldn't be answered at all. Don't you notice that nobody answers you? Your questions are full of hatred.

Re: Re. Should We Love What the Braggart Writes
And yet another dodge that assumes what needs to be proven and that ignores the fact that the motive behind a question does not make the question invalid.
Such claims as yours should not be made if you do not have evidence to back them up -- which you quite evidently don't -- and are too cowardly to admit that you don't.

"Such questions like yours shouldn't be answered at all."
Why not? They are legitimate. Are you saying that your unsubstantiated claims are unassailable and that you should never be asked to back them up?
"Don't you notice that nobody answers you?"
How does that show indisputably that my questions should not be answered, especially since there are a number of reasons besides the one you are claiming as the explanation for why readers have not answered them is not the only one that could account for readers' silence in the face of them. Do you know what the fallacy of the undistributed middle is? You've just committed it.
"Your questions are full of hatred".
Even assuming that that is true, it's irrelevant. More importantly, your self-aggrandizing and unsubstantiated, question-begging claims and the legitimacy of what you think they prove deserve to be questioned.

Re: Re. Should We Love What the Braggart Writes
So you say. But who believes you? More importantly, since you do not demonstrate the truth of your claim as a responsible person would if he/she wants to be taken seriously, but instead, run away from doing so, why SHOULD anyone believe you and not doubt that the only reason you say what you say is that you are not equipped or brave enough to answer my questions honestly.
