Shafts of Light

Shafts of Light

Honeymoon
Memories
Were never
Meant to be

The shafts
Of light
They formed
For me.

For from
Before
Those words
Were said

The memories
Had
Long
Been dead,

Those
Volunteers
On the
Battlefield

Whose strength
Was lost
In bar room
Yield.
