Insomnia Blows

We’re not meant to stay wounded, we’re meant to unpack the trauma & tragedy that unfolds, and dissect the drivers of such that lead us into other pathways.

Pathways, to self medicating and other vices that numb the heart & soul. When you’re unable to feel, you’re unable to heal as you’re drowning in the void of numbness.

Its important to identify, build, and grasp the internal tools needed to build capacity, and hone your skills to clear underlying issues.

However, the memory centre never forgets.

Literally, you have to perform surgery upon your own psyche, on a subconscious level, just to wipe the slate clean & experience healing.

You can’t move forward, and navigate your way through an internal restructuring to trigger an internal transformation if you’re anchored to a past that’s proffered nothing but heartache
& psychological distress.

It’s a bitter pill to swallow, to run back to things and people that wasn’t capable of cherishing your existence, in the first instance.

Some people take prescription meds to help them sleep, whilst battling their complex PTSD, anxiety, depression or whatever diagnosed affliction but that adds another layer of addiction.

Another burden to shake, and when we do that, we deny ourselves the inherent gifts that others have to proffer.

Like, attracts like; and hurt people hurt people and no good comes from trauma bonding, where you get stuck in the clusterfuck of someone else’s shortcomings, and unresolved trauma.

Healthy relationships aren’t build upon the ruins of trauma, and you can’t heal someone if they’re too fucked up to heal themselves. I wish I learnt that pertinent lesson 20 years ago, however; better later than never.

Insomnia blows !

Actually, I think I drank too much coffee, and it’s 3am. I might go for a run to release some tension…
