Train on the brain

Train on the brain

The Steam from the train, starts to sting my already puffy eyes, you haven't left the platform yet but the stings turned into cries

As I watch you pull away, I know you're no longer mine, as i watch my dream girl's train, move further up the line

I watch you going further on, no sign of a goodbye wave, no inclination that you'll miss me, no sign of the love I crave

I watch you go off into the distance, until you're no longer in my sight, there goes my happiness, I'm left to face a lonely night

I hear the locomotion's rhythm, my heartbeat falls into line, pounding out I'll miss you and how I wish you were still mine

Soon you are out of sight, I try to dry my teary eyes, knowing that today was the day, a pure love simply dies

Gone off to another place, I'm sure someone new will still your heart, but I will love you always though we are apart

I wish you well and all happiness, wherever you end up on that train, I will go on living, though you'll be always on my brain

So i say goodbye to my dream girl, as she rumbles out of sight, thankfully I wake up from a nightmare of a night

I roll over to see you there, tomorrow you must board a train but you're only going to see your mum, I hate my over active brain
