Facade
I may smile, I may laugh, I may go through the motions.
But I am using a facade to hide my real emotions.
I use the facade to fool those that I can't confide to.
I may stand up high and look proud.
But the truth is that I am knee deep in the waters of despair behind my shroud.
I am a fooler.
A liar.
An actress.
A deceiver.
A hider.
Behind this facade is me.
The me that you may never see.
In this world of my facade,
I swim in these deep waters,
these dark waters.
My only fear is that I may someday drown.
If I do, then nobody will ever find the life behind my fascade.
I may smile,
I may laugh,
I may go through the motions.
But I am using the facade to hide my real emotions.
I have my facade.
I will wear it as I please.
