Blue Jeans

Blue jeans, faded jeans, torn jeans, and dirty jeans
These seams tell too many stories of past glories
Autumn adventures, spring dances and summer romances
All these memories of youth in its prime worn by time

Summer nights spent by the creek listening to frogs speak
Catching firelies and staring at brilliant night skies
Worn jeans, torn jeans, left hanging on tree boughs while the river flows
The moments shared between lovers and friends by river bends

Road trips through empty plains and dense forests in morning rains
The winding road takes us far whether we travel by bus or car
Sun faded jeans lean on gleaming rails as the sunset pales
Good times and bad times pave the way as we live day by day

Blue jeans, faded jeans, torn jeans, and dirty jeans
years counted on dirtied denim by all the memories we lend them
Record books and photo albums capturing life by name and frame
The memories we share with people who care are kept by the jeans we wear
