Aspects of autumn (A rondel)

A webs spun dew, it's droplets glint
fractions, of longer nights and shorter days
the spider waits within it's treaded maze
autumn's burnished glow, never indistinct

The year is ageing, needing pills and liniment
fall, a golden palette, proudly now displayed
a webs spun dew, it's droplets glint
fractions, of longer nights and shorter days

Thumb it's nose, to winters cold inheritance
with serenity, of just captured grace
in peace and calm, not misbehave
the spider waits, no need to sprint
the webs spun dew, its droplets glint
