We talked over & over with expectant eminent results  
 
I understood your pain through your words that you spoke & wrote to me
 
During our heated arguments, you’d reassure me to the upmost that your intentions are pure  
 
Your words felt like medicine that cured my insecurities & I ate them with pride time & time again    
 
Over time I saw the rawness in the your actions, but your words tasted so good  
 
Confused at the wordplay given I couldn’t understand how your actions couldn’t back up what was being said  
 
You made love to my ears every time you felt the need too do so,  
 
I was built on actions but you were too good manipulating your words  
 
Hush me with actions that’ll make me never question your loyalty  
 
Reassurance only works if the actions coincide
