Interlaced (2021)

red stars and brown stars with dazzling light
yellow and white stars ever so bright
planets with places dark, underground,
where many do live, mycelium's found

mycelium...under the surface of Mars
mycelium...under the Earth, in the stars
where plasma filaments interconnect
as currents flow with stellar effect...

mycelium's fruit phallically thrusts,
awaiting dispersal mycelium trusts
interconnection will interconnect
mycelium knows just when to expect

someone or something to scatter its spores
attuning awareness to those naturals laws
governing wind and governing rain
so mycelium can reproduce once again

drifting away microscopically
becoming the promise of all it can be
mycelium joins all that's in space
everything everywhere is interlaced...
