Tapestry
A swinging lamp
in Autumn rain
immoral thoughts
and coffee stains
She scribbles notes
on serviettes
a phantom kiss
upon her neck
The wicked deeds
she has in mind
between the words
she underlined
The smell of oak
and leather straps
her body drips
like candlewax
To a place
the devil knows
she lingers long
as semen flows
On a wave
of shallow need
her fingers delve
through tapestry
in Autumn rain
immoral thoughts
and coffee stains
She scribbles notes
on serviettes
a phantom kiss
upon her neck
The wicked deeds
she has in mind
between the words
she underlined
The smell of oak
and leather straps
her body drips
like candlewax
To a place
the devil knows
she lingers long
as semen flows
On a wave
of shallow need
her fingers delve
through tapestry

Beautiful imagery, love the last stanza. The short lined of rhyme is a style I like to write as well, capturing a lot in a few words.

Thanks for your comments. Although I enjoy free verse, I still find it's sometimes easier to rhyme and gives poetry more structure.

This has alot of style to it. I like how you kept it short and sweet-- cool yet still poetic. Slick write ✍️
