Tapestry

A swinging lamp
in Autumn rain
immoral thoughts
and coffee stains

She scribbles notes
on serviettes
a phantom kiss
upon her neck

The wicked deeds
she has in mind
between the words
she underlined

The smell of oak
and leather straps
her body drips
like candlewax

To a place
the devil knows
she lingers long
as semen flows

On a wave
of shallow need
her fingers delve
through tapestry
