The Enthronement Of Reason
The light of intuition flickers unsteadily
Twinkling, blinking, winking and receding
Overwhelmed by the wind of reason roaring
Marching gallantly without constraints steadily.
Shadows of reason unleashed on prowl
Unbothered of others except their survival
Running wild as a hurricane without a strong rival
Blowing off the light of intuition as they howl.
The sun of intuition diminishes in strength
As the night of reason comes to the foreground
Overrunning the light of intuition to the ground
As she tramples on him stretching his length.
Now she reigns supreme on her throne
With her lighted torch rising to the heavens
Beckoning on all children of reason acting as leavens
To gather and be guided by her light alone.

What I like: intuition as light; reason as inexorable, relentless march of darkness (isn't this always the way of forecasting doom? simply extending logic far enough? great insight into the nature of reality).
End of 3rd stanza I get confused--what happened? One moment intuition is ready to give up the ghost, and the next she's trampling reason--huh?
What's a world guided by intuition like? This mind wants to know (and other minds need to have it told to them, because they're probably ignorant of it).

As regards some of the questions you raised, this is what I would say:
1) Isn't this always the way of forecasting doom?
Perhaps you are right but I don't want to answer this question by saying yes.
Firstly I wrote this poem because of my observation of the goings in my immediate environment and how people are relegating intuition to the background and praising reason as the only sure way of knowing and discovering.
Intuition and intellect (reason) could walk hand in hand to guide man and help him to advance and overcome the challenges inherent in this sphere of existence we humans are labouring to overcome and transcend.
2) Simply extending logic far enough?
Yes , that is it...simply extending logic far enough.
3) What happened? ...end of 3rd stanza
The she is reason trampling intuition (him) :From the first line of the 3rd stanza you could see that Intuition is waning in strength as reason grows in strength by becoming dominant in his coming to the foreground ,overrunning him to the ground before trampling on him.
4) What is a world guided by intuition like?
A world guided by intuition is independent of reason before taking action; It is like what some people call gut feeling or hunch. It is something more than instinct because instinct is not as refined as intuition. It is a knowingness that comes from within and it takes time to recognise it and adhere to its guidance. That is much I can say for now.
Note: To some people depending on the school of thoughts they belong, intuition is the same as instinct. Personally I differ there.
