A Walk of Joy
Side by side,
On a sandy street,
Impressed with footprints,
They saunter along
Like owners of the way
talking and chatting
like two in a closet.
Neither young nor old;
Two adults with insight;
Mentally matured

Passers-by look with interest:
These two creatures of mortality:
The elderly remembering their youthful days;
The youth wishing if it were their reality.
Faces blossom with smiles,
Like the Morning Sun,
Gleaming and glowing

When you are yet to know yourself.

Desires well up in my heart,
Rising as water rises in a fountain,
Hidden from all except me
As I seek to be in your presence.

But her beauty causes distraction.
She runs from shame

Selfishness Resurrected
The fire of passion aflame
Blazing wild and ferocious
Resurrecting the beast of selfishness
Entombed in my personality
Crawling out of the casket of my mind
To devour objects of my craving:
Animate and inanimate
Of which I am enslaved to.
She rises to stand on wobbly feet
Like a baby learning to stand astride
Unsure of her balance and poise
After ages of passivity and negligence.
Mouth dripping with strange liquids
Climbing down her bony cheeks
Deprived of fleshy tantalizing nourishment ...

The Faceless Mover
At the shore, she arrives, whispering silently and deftly
With sounds piercing the walls of the observer acoustically,
Though all present watch but can't see the elusive mover
But only her effects as she rides and travels freely as an explorer.
In cloak of freshness, she kisses all without lusting
Caressing skins with her gentle touch of awakening,
Singing melodiously with her movement of grace,
And dancing and making turns in her theatre of space.
She moves and advances further into the countryside
Leaving her trails behind as she...

Like a veil revealing the interior
Hidden from view
Of lurking eyes of strangers;
Colourful images of beings
In a sea of scintillating light
Emerge from the depth
Floating and gliding
In this atmosphere of splendid beauty.
Of which window

Is it from the dusty window of attachment?
Or the spotless window of detachment?

He claims to be one
Yet he talks like a boy!
He has features of one
Yet he complains incessantly like a toddler!

With his display of the flowers of folly?
