Sacred brokenness
sacred beauty broken
a thousand pieces
gently raining to earth
as jewels in the sun
picking up our scattered souls
arms filled to overflowing
losing parts of us
faster than can be found
an endless task of servitude
to the sins and lies
that shattered our souls
there is a sacredness
in broken humanity
the desire for eternity
hidden in a thousand pieces
holding to the essence
our souls flashing in the sun
falling to earth as rain
waiting for us
to sweep up the pieces
and hold them in our arms
as we pray for trust and love
to glue our souls together
to
make
us
whole
a thousand pieces
gently raining to earth
as jewels in the sun
picking up our scattered souls
arms filled to overflowing
losing parts of us
faster than can be found
an endless task of servitude
to the sins and lies
that shattered our souls
there is a sacredness
in broken humanity
the desire for eternity
hidden in a thousand pieces
holding to the essence
our souls flashing in the sun
falling to earth as rain
waiting for us
to sweep up the pieces
and hold them in our arms
as we pray for trust and love
to glue our souls together
to
make
us
whole
