Together
“Together”
Take the rain; and wash me.
Kiss what I shew only to thee.
Thy sun is setting on the sires of day.
By the skies of thy night, the gods shall pray.
The candle of thy soul, in tune with mine:
I, the wounded flame; and thee, divine.
To my heart of snow, thou doth bring,
Gilded, all the dawns of spring.
I praise the angel thou hast been.
I now feel the blossoms in my heart again.
My eyes thou didst dry of all their falling tears,
And the ghosts haunting me have vanished with my fears.
I was drowning; now risen from the wave.
If there was but one soul thou might save,
It was mine, in my hour of shades.
Now, the sorrow and the agony fades.
This, thy night, shew me thy eclipse.
Grant the kiss I long for from thy lips.
In peace hold me, speak now and forever,
As I dream of us together.
