Lie To Me
I said goodbye, but I refused to let go
So instead, I kissed your cheek and held on tight
I knew this day would come, it just came way too fast
The day you realized the world held more than a small town girl
With no real plans
So now you're leaving and I can’t stop you
At least I’ll have one more night
To hold you
To know you
To be yours
I’ll give you my childhood
Everything I’ve ever known
Take it, and lose it within those university walls
Just don’t tell me you forgot what we had
Don’t take away all hope of love
Keep me in the dark, I beg you
I’ve given you all I have
So do me this one little favor
Lie to me
So instead, I kissed your cheek and held on tight
I knew this day would come, it just came way too fast
The day you realized the world held more than a small town girl
With no real plans
So now you're leaving and I can’t stop you
At least I’ll have one more night
To hold you
To know you
To be yours
I’ll give you my childhood
Everything I’ve ever known
Take it, and lose it within those university walls
Just don’t tell me you forgot what we had
Don’t take away all hope of love
Keep me in the dark, I beg you
I’ve given you all I have
So do me this one little favor
Lie to me
