The words of a Leader
A servant you must be in order to be tender,
Rough edges cut away in endurance to become a perfecter.
Now these are the words of a true leader.
In humility He served God as their mortal hearts grew colder,
Sent to be obedient unto death by His Father and Testator.
A servant you must be in order to be tender.
Even when denied three times in trouble it's harder
To bear the cross alone, one must endure such a disaster.
Now these are the words of a true leader.
To be corrected and rebuked in scrutiny you must surrender,
As a disciple and follower, what Paul did to Peter.
A servant you must be in order to be tender.
And only when buried with Him in baptism, six feet under
With the resurrection and life can you be greater.
Now these are the words of a true leader.
Serving Him willingly, whole heartedly,He makes you bolder,
To become a better leader not greater than His Master,
A servant you must be in order to be tender.
Now these are the words of a true leader.
Rough edges cut away in endurance to become a perfecter.
Now these are the words of a true leader.
In humility He served God as their mortal hearts grew colder,
