FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
When l think of how we come to life
I become quite sure life must be sweet.
No one has been asked before he's born
if he wants to come to this hard world.
Compare between self and Jesus Christ.
Have you sacrificed a thing for man?
Jesus gave His blood and suffered much.
Can this Man force you for what is hard?
God gives us a soul that will not fall
in the grave and face any decay.
It remains afloat in its Eden
with the saints and parents you adore.
You won't miss a human who is dear,
but you live with him in endless sky.
Can there be a life better than this?
All this is performed with Jesus Christ.

Re. FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
More nonsense.
"When l think of how we come to life
I become quite sure life must be sweet.
No one has been asked before he's born
if he wants to come to this hard world.'
How can you claim that life is sweet if we are forced without consent into a hard world. That's like saying that someone who was forced against his will into a life of bitter servitude, deprivation, and suffering found their indentured life to be a happy one.
And don't you deny that the enfleshed life one is forcibly born into is sweet if you say what's really sweet is to become a ghost up in the sky ?
"Compare between self and Jesus Christ."
What an awful sentence this is, especially if what you meant to say was "compare yourself with Jesus Christ". It raises the question "Compare WHAT between self and Jesus Christ?".
Cue the ad hominemed response.

Very dear Cara,
Thank you very much for your great reaction and comment. Please give me your reaction to the spiritual aspects of my writings. I am trying to discover myself spiritually through poetry.
I need your help and with this help l can discover new fields of spirituality which can help me a lot to live with the Lord more and more.

"Please give me your reaction to the spiritual aspects of my writings."
Are there such aspects? Would you please point to where they can be found in your submissions? What distinguishes them from the non spiritual aspects of your writings?
"I am trying to discover myself spiritually through poetry."
What does discovering one's self **spiritually** -- as opposed to any other way of discovering yourself -- mean?
And how would poetry be of service in this endeavor?.

Re. FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
Here's how one lives with Jesus.
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Re. FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
I wonder why
if heaven is our destined home
God made us first as exiled bodied things
accursed to toil and suffer for a time
and then to die
and didn’t place us in the sky
from the moment he initially
brought forth our souls.
For after all, he knows ahead of time
just whether we are saved or damned.
So wherefore did he then decree
upon the sixth day at creation's edge
that living where we should (and will) abide
must be delayed until one passes through
a dull and creeping petty pace of time?
It smacks of cruelty to make us beings
corporeal
and who, because of this,
know pain, so forced, against their will
to be subjected to
and then endure
the arrowed rages and
the shocks that flesh inherits in the world
when we, by grace, before the word was said
that separated light from Tehom’s swirling breast,
could have already been set up
in heaven’s realms
enjoying bright celestial bliss.

Re. FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
If your (Gnostic -- and therefore heretical) theology is true, then this should be your prayer:
Jesus how I long to be
with you in the sky!
Hurry up I pray to thee
come and help me die
so that I can finally see,
as I think I'm destined to,
where all souls eventually
abide.
Jesus how I long to be
with you in the sky!
Hurry up I pray to thee
come and help me die
so that I can finally see,
as I think I'm destined to,
where all souls eventually
abide.

"Dear Lozzamus,
Thank you very much for liking my poem."
What do you think Lozzamus uses as his criteria for determining whether of not a writing is likeable? Do you even know that he has such criteria? If his judgement is grounded in thinking that writings the substance of which is disjointed and are full of question begging statements and irregular meter, what, logically, must he think about writings which do not display these attributes?

Re. FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
And what makes you angry? Can you tell me? Here l can see some sense to answer you.
Re: Re. FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
Leaving aside the fact that your question comes out of the blue and seems to be unrelated to anything I've said in this thread, what makes me angry is unjustified pomposity from petty men, how they brag about how their work ranks in style, cohesiveness, comprehensibility, use of evocatory language and imagery, and tonal felicity with that of Yeats, Longfellow, "Wordwrth" and " Sheskespeare"' when it demonstrably does not, and when one avoids responsibility for backing up, when asked to do so, the claims he makes.
But how would being angry invalidate anything I say? My remarks are valid or invalid on their own terms.
BTW, how did Keats and Shelly react to your reading to them?

Because YOU DID in your orthographically challenged bio on All Poetry.

I have studied English literature at Damascus University. I have always been iterested [sic] in English poetry. I have especially liked the poetry of the poet laureate Wordwrth [sic] and his friend Coleridge. **I have also read a good deal **to** Keats and Shelley. ** I also like the poet laureate Tennyson. I should not forget Sheskespeare's [sic] lovely sonnets. As you see I am interested in romantic poetry. Finally, l have been writing English poetry for a long time. I love English poetry and that is the reason l contact you. Thank you very much in advance.

The issue is not why I have followed you there, but whether you said what you said and whether this is more proof that you are not as good at English as you often boast you are.
Are you denying that you wrote what I quoted?

We can never agree on anything. The issue for you is whether l wrote something or not although for me it is why you are following me from place to place. Am l so important to you? Or else why are you wasting your time?
Re. FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
So you are saying that following you is a waste of time?
In any case, you asked me why I mentioned Keats and Shelly and I answered you. But now you want to dodge admitting that you wrote what you wrote (that you read to them) by changing the subject to why I "followed" you to Hello Poetry. OK. You have bragged that your writings are liked on every venue to which you post them So I decided to see if this claim is true by searching for you on sites other than DUP. And what is revealed is that only a handful of subscribers "like" what you poste (notably without ever giving an articulate explanation for why they do) and those who give you "likes" seem to be people who are related to you and/or who have little critical acumen. It also shows that what you really want when you post things to that site is to have your ego stroked.
Now let's deal with how poorly written your Hello Poetry bio is and whether you did indeed say there that you read **to** Keats and Shelly as well as whether it shows that your English is not as good as you often brag it to be and that you rarely proofread what you write.

Re: Re. FORCED, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.
"You surprise me."
Really? How and why?
What's evident though is how much you don't surprise me. For once again you show that when faced with evidence from your own mouth that you don't write well and that you often embarrass yourself by the things you write, you play the coward's part and run away from acting like an adult by labeling the things said to you instead of being responsible enough to deal with them. But I understand why you do. Your ego will not let you admit that you are not the writer that you so desperately need to believe you are,
"The best thing l do is not to answer such...writing."
Why? What's wrong with it? Doesn't "such .. writing" deserve an articulate response? If not, why not? Without an explanation of why you've come to this conclusion, why should anyone take your evaluation of what I wrote as valid?
Moreover, I wonder if you realize that in stating what you've stated you admit that your attempts at poetry are not the best thing you do.
Cue the ad hominems.
