fill sufficiency

almost overnight it grew
to me it was true
the love I had for you  
my heart knew it was right
that first dance that first night
you filled that empty spot  
we all have got
when the right one comes along  
I could only hope feelings shared
that night when we did part  
as your tail light faded from that parking lot
my heart and soul knew
it to be true
by how much I was missing you  
it wasn't the kisses I was a miss
more than a passing fancy  
a void only you could fill sufficiency
