Extensive her repertoire
Faultlessly rehearsed
Tailored
Perfectly well versed
Her resilience fading
The sadness consuming
Reality,
slipping away
Precious time passes
His words
His actions
Torture her mind
Plague by insecurities
Grief-stricken
Overwhelmed
She may never understand
Comfort found
Pressed against the wall
Staring at the floor
Invisibility key
Avoiding eye contact
Rarely glancing up
Unwanted attention
Causes immense distress
Herself she failed
Once loving and devoted
Now plagued by regret
Choosing to disconnect
Blinded by darkness
Masking her turmoil
Acceptance difficult,
his memories false
Fighting every battle
Emotionally empty
Yanking at her chains
Desperate to be break free

This poem is so on point with accuracy it’s spooky. Every single stanza seems to be playing out my life it’s incredulous. I am in complete adulation of how much information and storyline you’ve written inside such concise verses. Brava for this brilliantly articulate poem. H🌷

Though I am wounded
but not slain. . .
I shall lay me down to bleed
awhile. . .
then rise to fight again
To everything there is a season, mistakes are merely information gathering; they're simply one of learning. Resilience is an insurance policy against devastation by opinions and/or actions of others.
You are strong and resilient. Your ability to bounce back is something that has its heart in wisdom and learning taken from experience. You can be a great helper to others, particularly women.

the subject of your poem is wonderful and the message it employs. you have a good use of form and rhythm. it's my opinion that subject and message should always be obtained regardless of structure and function rather than the other way around, but you use both to your advantage very well. this reminds me of something my english teacher always told me, "show don't tell" and i think you do a great job of that. somebody recently told me that,"comparison is the thief of joy. a rose doesn't compare itself with other roses it just blooms" i often forget that. thanks for the reminder. my cold heart doesn't melt in the eternal winter that is my life.
