My Review of a Very Real Olive Garden

Ok this is my Yelp review of Jonah's Olive Garden. I walked in and it looked very nice. The waiter was very nice and pleasant. I feel as though the chefs did try their best too. This was my order "whale meat, finely sliced cucumbers, and your rarest vegetable." I also had the freshest water in 1 million miles. The water made me feel alive and happy. It really energized me. Anyhow, the waiter asked me if I would like whale meat stew instead, which I said was fine by me, not wanting to be picky and unpleasant. Even though watery whale soup sounds kind of nasty. He had not gotten the cucumbers ready yet, but he went ahead and gave me everything else, not wanting to keep me hungry and waiting. He handed me my soup and vegetables. The vegetable turned out to be a pretty decent golden carrot, which tasted a little cheap, but rich and full of flavor at the same time. Then came time for the soup. He graciously gave me the soup with a few spins and some nice ballet. I started to nibble on the soup, hoping that it would not be too hot, and that I would enjoy it before I devoured a bite of the blubbery, orange stew. It tasted a little sour, and not anything like the excellent soup I had eaten on my travels throughout the lands, talking to the foreigners, and getting insight from them on their life. As I talked to the young and the old, I started to realize how much they do and learn in their little villages, always playing, reading, talking, sleeping, picking flowers with their friends, making pies with grandma, and just frolicking on their own. They really inspire us all and really show us what the true meaning of life is. It's enjoying what you can, and always trying to be your best self, even when you know things are tough, and pushing through, and always showing how you can make the best out of the little you might have.

I dug my spoon deep down into the soup, trying to get all the seasonings and flavors into one sweet, sour, creamy, fresh, soup that would really warm up my soul. I would say that last sentence, but unfortunately it was not true. The stew was rather a chunky, goopy, mess all mashed into a bowl. it's as though they just grabbed some ingredients off a shelf and threw them in a pot and called it a day. The flavors were just "blah". I decided to go ahead and munch my way through the meal, sucking it up, and deciding that having food in my stomach was better than no food at all. I have a high suspicion that it was not a high quality restaurant. After my waiter came and collected my leftover food, he asked if I would like to order a dessert. I said yes, hoping that it would wash out my mouth of all the food and "blah" that I just ate. He finally came back telling me the poor, sad news that they didn't have cucumbers. who doesn't have such a basic vegetable! It was such a disgrace, and I felt sad and put down after the already bad meal I was experiencing. He asked if I would like anything in return and I stated that I would like some tomatoes. An even more basic vegetable. I was delighted to learn that they indeed did have tomatoes, even though they were a little on the hard side, I still enjoyed them. He came around and asked if I would like anything for dessert and I stated that I would like tiramisu. Such a good thing to eat. I remembered that my dear friend loves tiramisu, and was indeed her favorite dessert. While I waited as he prepared my meal for me, I looked at the architecture of the building. it looked very nice, with the spruce wood in contrast with the stone bricks. During my first portion of the meal, he asked if I would like anything else. I noticed that every table had the same flower, a poppy. I asked for a change in scenery, and the waiter did come through. He put a nice Lily of the Valley on my table. I very much enjoyed it.

By the time he brought out the tiramisu, I was hungry again. I saw the colorful specks of color on the top of the spongy layers and realized he had put sprinkles on my tiramisu. I was overjoyed by the small, subtle details people add to things that you normally wouldn't think a thing about until you took a closer look. I eyed the spongy layers of cake and my mouth started to drool. I brought out my trusty fork that I always ate tiramisu with. It honestly made anything you were eating better than before. I started thinking about my childhood. and how my friends and I loved to run through the field, and play games such as tag, all while eating that tasty tiramisu. I hadn't realised that it was all gone, and I had been munching on air for the past few moments. The dessert really was the highlight of my night. I failed to mention that I did indeed get 127 breadsticks, and I was very pleased with the way they came out of the oven. When I received them, they were still warm, fluffy, and had plenty of butter on them. I am not sure how I would rate my visit to the "Olive Garden''. There were many ups and downs throughout my adventure there. how would you rate this as you read through my adventure there?
