Ode to a Diamond
ODE TO A DIAMOND
As I sit here close to tears
How quickly events fly past
No guarantee to last
When I reflect upon our shining years
You spoke of me as being your “rock”
But as the sea tends to hone
And the waves erode the stone
I slowly succumb to the clock
Now as I struggle through the Sands Of Time
I grasp to any proffered rope
To keep alive a semblance of hope
As I gather strength to aid me in my climb.
I LOVE YOU JEANNE
