White Light
Violet is a freshly plucked grape.
Blue is the sparkling of the sky.
Green is sun shining through leaves in summer.
Yellow is a field of sunflowers.
Orange is a sunrise in the mountains.
Red is flushed cheeks and kissed lips.
Violet is a mottled bruise.
Blue is the face of suffocation.
Green is sickness and fatal envy.
Yellow is a sallow and starved child's skin.
Orange is a jumpsuit behind bars.
Red is blood and eyes after crying.
With opposite emploments for equal shades
Are the colors really the same?
Or is it our perspective skewed
By the palate of our lives?
Each color cancels itself out,
Positive and negative.
No wonder, when all mixed together,
They equal White Light.
