Everything I never wanted

A silent corridor speaks more than I
A thousand mirrors cannot hide lies
No truth can help, no love can calm
No spirit comes along to prevent this harm
A forest of no trees, a noun with no name
Everything I never wanted, a troubling game
My heart tries to speak but no sound can be heard
I cannot muster a single thought or word
This life, this journey that leaves me haunted
Is everything I detest, everything I never wanted
I hold it up here and give it right back
I will never be replete, I simply lack
A sorry tale when it’s too late to abate
The end was long ago and so I wait
An empty room holds more grandeur
An empty glass contains more water
All dreams vanished and all love exhausted
This life, this life leaves me aching and tortured
I cannot live, I cannot bear to be haunted
This life is everything
Everything I never wanted
