Beware of things that are this sweet
They seem made to decay you
Come in and sweep you off your feet
Then afterward betray you

I write this as my tummy grumbles
I have not been kind today
Commitment to well-being stumbles
Why would I lead me astray?

We buy these things I don’t know why
Lament them when they’re gone
It’s time to switch to humble pie
Sweet stuff, I’m moving on!
