For karov is HaYom
Who is John, and who am I?
To think the end is coming nigh
For nearer still than yesterday
Are trumpets of the judgement day.
No eye can see, nor mind discern
What God has planned for His return
A day when all is plain and bare
And nothing will be hidden there
No heart deceives nor tounge persuades
No beating heart the dark invades
A day the righteous are to share
And nothing will be hidden there
A day when war will cease its call
A day when pride will take its fall
A time to judge the overlooked
A time to open every book
Before this great and terrible day
A season comes to stay and play
When men of reason, books and letter
And tarred by grief and mocked with feather
Where every kind of wicked bird
Is just as good as every word
Where bats are red, and red is king
And all the nations kiss its ring
Ye men who seek the truth unfurled
Renew your mind from this old world,
Put on your armor, gird your sabre
And trust in God, our perfect savior.
To think the end is coming nigh
For nearer still than yesterday
Are trumpets of the judgement day.
No eye can see, nor mind discern
What God has planned for His return
A day when all is plain and bare
And nothing will be hidden there
No heart deceives nor tounge persuades
No beating heart the dark invades
A day the righteous are to share
And nothing will be hidden there
A day when war will cease its call
A day when pride will take its fall
A time to judge the overlooked
A time to open every book
Before this great and terrible day
A season comes to stay and play
When men of reason, books and letter
And tarred by grief and mocked with feather
Where every kind of wicked bird
Is just as good as every word
Where bats are red, and red is king
And all the nations kiss its ring
