Her Weeping Seeds

I’ve seen each and every droplet from her
The salty ones
That trickle slowly in a stream
Never stopping its flow, at times
These droplets she has showered many
And it never did look pretty
As they rained over letters
Pictures
Bloody hands
Dirty fingernails
But when I kissed the salt away
She smiled
A rainbow after the storm

Joyful droplets are my favorite kind
Delightfully sweet, like sugar and honey
As golden as her hair
Watering the earth farther than
Her mossy eyes can see
As if spring waited for
Her weeping seeds
These droplets are the ones
I wish to see
The ones that fall the least

I’ve also seen colorful drops
Of ruby
Angry, bitter drops
That taste disgusting
They pour from places
You don’t normally see
Raining salt and ruby
Simultaneously

She is hidden in herself
Droplets kept in cages
Sometimes rattling to be freed
But when she lets her droplets go
I make sure to catch them
And I catch them all
Because every droplet from her
I’ve seen each
