An Honest To Goodness Love Letter
Every time,
Every time I hear you
Or read you...
I sink into a certain comfort.
It's as familiar as waking in my own bed.
You spread yourself thin
Across acreages of heartache.
You know...you really don't have to.
You are loved in a way you've always wanted.
I understand, it's hard to see.
Even harder to believe.
But you are.
I am a ghost now,
Was solid once.
Time disintegrates a woman's worth.
You see it when you become invisible.
Time doesn't stop the yearning to love
And I have seen from the beginning,
How much you should be loved,
Properly.
It is my wish for you to feel this.
For you to never be lonely,
To lay in bed and feel a form
Against your back or in your arms.
You are loved, wanted,
In all the ways,
You've always wanted.
Every time I hear you
Or read you...
I sink into a certain comfort.
It's as familiar as waking in my own bed.
You spread yourself thin
Across acreages of heartache.
You know...you really don't have to.
You are loved in a way you've always wanted.
I understand, it's hard to see.
Even harder to believe.
But you are.
I am a ghost now,
Was solid once.
Time disintegrates a woman's worth.
You see it when you become invisible.
Time doesn't stop the yearning to love
And I have seen from the beginning,
How much you should be loved,
Properly.
It is my wish for you to feel this.
For you to never be lonely,
To lay in bed and feel a form
Against your back or in your arms.
You are loved, wanted,
In all the ways,
You've always wanted.
