Leave off the light

Sitting up with the dog
he has been outside
in the rain and the fog

I gave him a biscuit
and he had a drink But when
he came in he didn't arf stink

He lay on the matt then started to snore
he seemed to go for a walk
In his sleep with his paws

he was enjoying himself so i left him alone
then when he had finished
he woke up at home

I awoke on the couch myself around three
All alone in the cold
he'd gone to bed without me

So next time it's foggy and cold of a night
I think I'll stay in bed
and leave off the light
