Tragedy

It was to be the greatest tragedy of my life,,
I lost my mind
My self-respect
My immediate family and potential wife,,
I chose not to fix that which was broken,,
For fear of what I would find once awoken and open,,
But we find joy in the most unexpected unpredictable places,,
I am alone but do not feel alone when I get a reciprocated smile from strangers faces,,
I didn’t have to dig that deep to find I’m only human after all,,
And with a heart full of gratitude and my height raised to what feels like 7 foot tall,,
And I let go that of which is not in my control,,
And that this tragedy is an opportunity to accept what unfolds,,
But only if I stay upon this spiritual path I have found,,
And with a heart so full of love it’s a wonder I can lift my weary feet off the ground,,
But one step at a time is all we need to do,,
And just for today I will try my best, not just for me but for you too...
🙏
