Drowning in depression
Depression truly feels like we're drowning,
The pain is invisible like a clown when he's frowning.
Everyday we fight the current as the waves try to pull us down to the depths below.
We're gasping for air as we pray to god for strength that we can borrow.
Loving us is like tredding in a large body of water.
We understand that trying to appease us is like being led to the slaughter.
Despite the exhaustion we cause we're still somebody's daughter;
somebody's son,
somebody's mother, father,
someobody's someone.
Despite the exhaustion we cause we're still somebody's daughter;
somebody's son,
somebody's mother, father,
someobody's someone.
