This poem perfectly catches the right words of how I feel as someone who fears failure. You captured the reason, I personally think many hide in a shell, so well because sometimes other find trouble knowing why they hide.

I think this is relatable for many. Fear has a way of convincing us that the shell is where we should stay. It's tough to find that balance of wearing a shell as a shield and coming out to experience all the world outside has to offer.
