how many winters
can i even recall  
where i have been    
seen and felt    
here and there    
then and now    
where i have been    
so intimately absorbed    
both by and up into    
such crisp  clean    
days as this    
where ive listened    
to the wind    
and felt the textures    
of rocks    
of sand    
and moving waves    
upon dancing sea surfaces    
in sparkling star fields    
of living  liquid light    
with my eyes    
all my senses    
and the wholeness    
of my tuned in being    
just as here now    
with this vast    
open gulf    
before me today    
presently so flat    
calm and still    
for my sight and soul    
to sail out upon    
in humbled  silent prayers    
of ever deepening    
communion    
where this open skys    
clear  blue domes    
crystalline lullaby    
of free erasure    
forever calls me    
it quickly fills    
and quickens me    
as the restorative bliss    
of its harmonious peace    
swallows my mind    
my all    
ahhhhhhhhhhh    
finally a rest    
away from the chaos    
of everything else    
in life these days    
which so relentlessly seems    
to so toxically consume    
takes and demands    
so much more    
of what littles left of me now    
yes its been way too long    
since such sweet    
inner happiness    
has so systemically    
infected me    
in this way    
back here    
feeling so electrically alive    
so vitally reborn again    
in the exhilarating wonderment    
of my natural element    
my true natures essence    
refound and restored    
in this sacred niche    
of my spiritual hearts    
and spirits    
one true home    
wherein all my lifes    
presently pent up stresses    
so quickly    
so effortlessly    
dissolve away    
beneath this open kiss    
of sunlight  sky    
wind  land and seas    
sweet  healing embrace    
everywhere here around me  
seamlessly absorbing me  
into their boundless  
greater  
inseparable all  
with only thoughts of life    
of love and peace    
addressing and refilling  
me now    
as i let go  
and surrender fully    
to its all encompassing  
transcendent    
embraces  
penetrative gifts    
through which inwardly    
i am more deeply  
renewed    
beyond the mere    
darker shadows    
and self destructive shallows    
of this hopelessly lost    
blind  ignorant    
illusory world    
so void of compassion    
heart  soul  
empathy  kindness  
and mercy  
where true inner vision  
seems nearly extinct  
beyond even these    
few  frail    
scattered handfuls    
of freshly spilled thoughts    
reflections and words    
ive loosed out here    
in these painterly    
scratch marked impressions    
upon this no longer    
blank  white  silent page    
to leave behind    
for who knows whom    
in this increasingly sickened  
but still so beautiful  
world    
here in this    
ever widening wake    
of my temporal life  
journeys    
passing lights slippage    
so fleetingly away    
from here    
back into    
the more radiantly illumined    
awakened fullness    
of eternal soul knowing    
and being  beyond    
back into the  
deeper    
great mystery    
forever awaiting us all  
just behind  
mankinds truly insane  
ego blinded  
illusory worlds  
opaque  
dream thin veil  
beyond  
everything else here    
as well  
yet which will  
still never be  
quite enough now  
to ever save us  
in time  
from the most dangerous  
existential threat  
of all  
ourselves
