I Cast A Spell On You

Gather around closely, pull up your chair
I've got a story to tell
Get as close as you can, I want you all to hear
So I've cast you all under my spell..
It's not a fictional story, this story's true
But I'm happy to let you all know
Cos I'm the happiest that I could possibly be
Cupids hit me in my heart with his arrow.

It's been a long time coming I can tell you!
But my patience may have finally paid off?
I can sense it, my intuitions telling me
So I'll bring my heart down from the loft.
It was up there in storage for protection
Locked under key in a safety box
Waiting patient for a day like today
Where I can finally free it from these locks.

Seven years it's been locked away up there
Full of cobwebs, dusty and dark
The box it was in was hiding behind a brick
Safely lodged in the chimney stack.
Now I'm going to bring it out to breath
Poor hearts just been resuscitated
No longer does it have to hide away
No longer shall it feel frustrated.

For its falling in love all over again
This time my heart knows how to feel
For 4 years he's been preparing himself
And has an abundance of love to reveal.
The woman who's got his attention
I've know for many many years
Almost half our lives have passed us by
And I watched her shed many tears.

Dont worry friends, shes happier now
But thank you for showing your concern
It's me, Scott, who's heart she has entered
I have her beautiful heart now to earn.
But secretly I think she likes me too?
Well that's what my intuition says
The butterflies that are wrecking my insides
Excite me about impending better days.

I'm ready friends, you bet I am
I've waited for years for this moment
And I'm excited but I'm scared to death too
For in my future she's the main component.
If your reading this sweetheart, I want you!
If not then you will finally see
That all the time you have left on this Earth
Is time best spent with me...
