Failed To Lay Eggs Before Winter

Every word you speak, slices
crossways, burn spots melt
dripping into molds
cinched razors knotted, tied
beneath the first layer of skin
makes for a beautiful bracelet.

Perch yourself
above the fainting couch
stained damask fabric captures all
 secrets that once lay hidden
below the cellar.

Nails copulate with rotten floorboards
Emollient cools abrasion, ears itch
whispers try to spin  their way out
the  other side

Cushioning temples that pound
compensates for the beating wings
of too many wrens  that failed
 to lay eggs before winter

Cold,  too fuckin cold
the sun wench  stingey with her warmth someone has cut out her tongue
She hangs barren, icicles
for eyelashes.

Oil pours from  her mouth, into
a makeshift smudge pot  that gurgle's
 like boiled over hell, recording
every word you speak
