A Raging Fire
By what right do you steal tomorrow
from an innocent child?
Who are you to decide
that a boy should not become a man?
What planted the seed of hatred in your heart
and nurtured it to grow so strong,
so dense as to strangle your humanity?
Are you really so blind and dead inside
that you cannot see and hear the suffering
caused by the insanity of your anger?
Or do you just not care?
Remain steadfast in your arrogance;
Go on pretending the world salutes you
for having the ‘courage’ to hide behind a bullet
In truth, the world sees only your ignorance
and continues to weep unnecessary tears,
both for the lives you take
and for the one, your own, you’ve thrown away.
