DECEPTION OF PERCEPTION (ARCHETYPE REBOOT)

One may perceive a deadly disease
as the cool breeze eases through the leaves of the trees
One may experience a giddy joy
not felt since they were a little boy
watching moonbeams glisten off of the blood on the blade
and his favorite childhood toy that he made
all beings make up the human race
One may perceive a twisted face
imbedded within the gnarled knots and veins
of a stained piece of wood
while another seeks out a length of pure pine
to see imbedded into a blood-stained face
all beings make up the human race
nothing is real and nothing is true
except for everyone's point of view
each shining in the distance
of our isolated existence
each helps us to see and to escape and to shape
our own version of reality
