Ignorance
In its purest form
Is simply lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6)
Quite often this word is used as an insult. Synonymous with STUPID.
As such, it can easily throw a man off his game if he is not careful and attentive.
But if you don't know that you don't know. And what you don't know is irrelevant to your life; Then Ignorance truly is Bliss!!
But if a man can ignore the connotation, and stick to the denotation, he can easily over come the undesired stigma and realities of ignorance.

I was 40, or close to it, before learning there was a "White" version of the song "Stairway To Heaven". (Sung by Led Zeppelin, in the 1970's, I believe) The only version I'd ever known was the magnificent ballad by The O'Jays.
I was over 50 when I was informed that cognac is a super-distilled version of wine. Wine into brandy, brandy into cognac. And I've been drinking Hennessey and Courvoisier for quite some time.
Lord knows that my time as a union electrician has exposed me to many "ages old" truths that became "new" to me because I now had the exposure, and the need to know about these long ago proven things
13-8, 4160, 480-277, 208-120. These numbers all mean something definitive to an industrial electrician.
2-Pole and 3-Pole applications are not GA/SC DNR fishing restrictions.
Until the IBEW, of 3 phase, single phase, and induction; I had not a clue.
To me, Delta was a part of the Mississippi Flood Plain. And a squirrel cage was something found in a pet store.
As I've heard about military planning, and learned about electrical work and life in general; "You just don't know what you just don't know" .
Fortunately, I have learned (am still learning) to plan based upon the information I do have. And to leave room to adapt and improvise as more information becomes available.
I swear that it seems that the more I learn, the more aware I become of how little, comparatively, I actually do know.
