Blue Colors

Empty, I feel empty
No cars pass me by
The street light flickers
Right as it's about to die
Crickets chirp
To fill the word
Broken if said
Grass looks pale
Scorched by the sun
Leaves turn colors
Like an octopus
Survival season
The stars have dimmed
True north has exploded
Sugar is water on the tongue
No taste to awaken this soul
It roams the field to find gold.
