Can Not Be Her

I can not be her....
Can not be the years of the wrath in your veins cohearsing love and rage in a breath.

I can be enough....

If only the reaches leaped to the darkest parts.

But I can not be her...
Can not be the harvester picking the fields of their fruits and roots until they are barren and nude.

I can be enough....

If only ears were open to hearing the sounds of the wolf howling to a disappearing moon.

But I can not be her...
I can not pour acid on my world and let it burn and smile at its ache.

I can be enough...

If only your skin loved the rain as it loves you.

But I can not be her...
Can not bleed you of yourself and leave you to fall and watch.

But I am enough!!!

Maybe that's why you run to the past in its cracked glass to shatter..

Because I am everything you want....

It's easier to burn then it is to love....

I love you
But I can not be her...

But I am enough....
