Edge
On the edge of betrayal
Life, truly so frail
Setting sail
To new shores, may we not fail
Standing upon the precipice
Death truly must be bliss
Away from all pain
Somewhere, to remain sane
Escaping to vast open fields
What life truly yields
Eternity
Of uncertainty
But as I decay
My last thoughts fray
A smile glowing up
From past embers, abrupt
My life fades away
