Nothingness
Oh how I wish for nothingness.
To float on black velvet waves of silence underneath a dark moonless sky.
Deeply slumbering while I drift without a destination until the end of time.
No longer awake to feel the bright cacophony of heartache, disappointment, anger and pain.
Free from the hurt and burdens that have kept my soul chained.
Accepting the numbing cold of the shadows, giving up the fight for my place in the sun.
Finally at peace from a life that has offered me none.
Oh how I wish for nothingness. How lovely it would be.
To float on black velvet waves of silence on an endless darkened sea.
