Curious, what do you find humorous about it? Not that I'm offended or that it's a bad thing I just want to know your viewpoint.

I find the whole concept of trying to keep your smooth skin as clean as possible while in a world of trash and dirty ideas and opinions. Trying to maneuver around the day without becoming  as filthy as your daily counterparts. Trying to live your life without being touched by the negativity and senseless violence in the back alley ways and driveways of society. Always making sure your skin is clean and available for new scars that are stories of how you made it through and passed an ugly world with out being truly touched by its evil. This is the humor I see through these short lines in the desperation of keeping your skin clean.

That's an extremely insightful view thank you I guess even as authors/poets of our own works we can sometimes limit ourselves to a sort of tunnel vision and only see one view.

That is why having a reader or an audience is so important to our works. Without them we will never truly see the different paths and alleyways that our pieces can turn into. We can never truly learn from our passion and failures without scrutiny and criticism. We as poets can only write from one perspective and one angle.. That is how we perceive the depth and flow of our work. Keep an opened mind and never let your true poetic spirit die from lack of criticism or the taunting of criticism. Keep writing.
