The Monster
Her lips cracked with bitterness
Her nails dark like starless earth fading into the past
She breathes with the weight of a thousand horses
Her feet were mat-like; sinking in the sand
She sweats like that fall near Dunn’s River
She trembles with every step she takes
She sobs mournfully
She sobs like she was beaten half to death
She cried but the tears never came
She thought she had gotten away but I watched
I watched her every move
The darkness came full blast
Only the splashing music of the sea could be heard
Only the distant stars could be seen
I walked closer to her because I like the smell of the sea
Not really
I walked closer to her because I desire her scent
I feel a sudden rush of blood going through my main parts
I knew It was time again to make her scream
I like her screams, it does something good to me
It warms me on the inside
Her screams pack my chest with steel
Then there is her smell - that smell that turns me on
Then there is that fight that turns my mood up
Then there is that bite that gets me going
Then there is that scream that makes me wanna light myself on fire
But still, I wait
I watch her movements
I toy with her from a near distance
I throw stones and small pebbles
Seashells and coral
Mud and turtle waste
She knows I’m near but she knows nowhere
She wants to go but where
She is afraid to go anywhere
She is afraid of the sand
She is afraid of the sea
She is afraid of the darkness
She is afraid of me
Her nails dark like starless earth fading into the past
She breathes with the weight of a thousand horses
Her feet were mat-like; sinking in the sand
She sweats like that fall near Dunn’s River
She trembles with every step she takes
She sobs mournfully
She sobs like she was beaten half to death
She cried but the tears never came
