is it a sin to grin?
A slice of my skin
full of fear
making the smile widen
from ear to ear
he smiled at me
pretty as a rose
that has withered away
the petals they go
his knife digs deeper
just above my chin
out goes the blade
then the stitches go in
i stifle a scream
as he has something to say
but i do not hear it
as darkness takes me away
so this is how i die
a grin on my face
blood oozing down my chin
stitches holding it in place.
