"Revenge"
Back to back (peering over the shoulder),
eye to eye (glaring so hard you cry),
mouth to mouth (with that hand inbetween),
ear to ear (to hear the air),
her face I hardly see,
her voice I never miss,
makes me sick.
Walking proud through the halls,
stomping like an easy woman,
heels clacking behind miles of legs,
run a hand through blue hair,
smile (this time mean it).
Keep my mouth shut tight,
ice capes my shoulders like a cloak,
a breath of fresh air like lakes,
ocean salt coats my chapped lips,
ball room donging in the high cieling,
stripes of scores all over my legs but--
I strut them proud of what I am.
Looks over at her frown and smile,
giving a small and dainty wave of 'hello'.
Why?
Because the greatest revenge is not hurting words,
but letting you know that I can be happy--
without you.
