I take the night shift to watch over his slumber
Only go out if I need something at an odd hour

Like everyone, my necessities deplete
For which I have delivery services
My weekly needs come to me

At the drop of a feather
If it was not meant to fall
I wake
Impossible to get any sleep at all

If it isn't the night terrors
Or the creaking of an old house...
Rest is the only dream I cant live without

I know all the exits
Every face in a room
What they are wearing
The smell they exume

When we meet
I've already thought of ten ways to kill a man
Assessing his strength
Which way he leans to stand

I dress up alone and that is how i stay
Lest some wandering eye looks my way
I dont need to titillate when I go out
So I make it a point to dress down

Does it affect my life?
I dont think so
